Dogs

Sandy Hook Promise
The fact that Sandy Hook Promise exists makes me so, so sad.
I do hope the organisation helps prevent the deaths of more youth.
But still, it breaks my heart.

My dog of seventeen years named Sassie went to puppy Heaven today. She was the sweetest, most lovely dog you could ever meet. She had been deaf and blind for years. In current times all she could do was sleep. She was in pain a lot and my parents made the hardest decision to put her to sleep. The vet gave her a sedative and she passed away calmly without fear at 4:30pm today. She was more than a dog. She was my sister. At my lowest times she was there to comfort me. She never complained about anything. She loved everyone. I saw her last Christmas Day. My Mum called me yesterday to tell me that they were putting her to sleep. She had no quality of life, really. She got given plenty of roast lamb, beef, a Nutella sandwich and McDonalds. If I had known she was going to go I would have given her plenty more pats and love Christmas Day. My heart is broken. I'll forever miss her. I could never forget her. I know she's free now but we're grieving. I can barely see my screen through my
Covid and my life
J and I are still separated by the oceans and the virus.
Every one is suffering because of this pandemic but it's hard when you can't hold the person you love in your arms. But the distance won't separate us forever.
And J knows that I will forever love him. He's the best man I've ever met. J, know how much I love you, babe. :heart:
